I remember seeing this picture somewhere... Hm, either way! I love the clear, crisp modelling and rendering of it; the colors and shadows aren't distracting from the picture but are in fact reinforcing it. Which is purely a good thing!
Thank you. The interlocking hexes are bound to be a common theme. My modeling skills are lacking, so I choose simple things and try to light and render them well.
Subtle is good for wallpaper, that way it's nice but not a distraction.

The grain is from the Ambient Occlusion Blender can use for Global Illumination. I set it to "use Distance" which gives it a grainy look. I think it adds character, with a plain light method it is too clean and looks computerized.

Great job, looks just like the giants cosway in ireland. 2 giants wanted to fight, one stayed in ireland the other in scotland, one built the cosway so other could come fight him, so he did, upon seeing him he ran back across the sea tearing up the cosway as he fled, thus leaving it in the present state, which is exactly like ur art.
